1. Defeat Ervig, The Rotten Druid

Why It's Important: Ervig is the primary boss tied to unlocking access to The Vile Alchemist. Defeating him drops essential crafting materials that kickstart your journey into chaos-based crafting, making it easier to access the Vile Alchemist’s services.
Boss Mechanics: Ervig will summon fungal missiles and use area-of-effect (AoE) attacks. Dodging and positioning are key to surviving the fight.
2. Collect Fungal Resources
After defeating Ervig, you will be able to collect fungal resources such as Mycelium Resin, Spore Clusters, and Decaying Spores from nearby areas. These are used to craft basic chaos potions and toxic gear that are essential for progressing through Vile Alchemist’s Workshop.
3. Unlock Fungal Boss Events
Additional Bosses: Other optional fungal-themed bosses in the Grim Tangle (such as mutated fungal creatures or corrupted beasts) will drop rare crafting resources like Vile Blood and Cursed Sulfur. These materials enhance your access to high-level crafting recipes at The Vile Alchemist.
Triggering Events: Specific chaos-themed quests or hidden events within the Grim Tangle will unlock rare bosses. These bosses drop the necessary items for unlocking the Vile Alchemist’s Workshop.
4. Trade for Materials
NPC Vendors: You may also trade materials such as Chaos Orbs or Vile Essence with NPC vendors in the zone. These vendors might offer items required to unlock The Vile Alchemist’s services.
5. Vile Alchemist’s Workshop Unlocking
What You Get: Upon defeating Ervig and other fungal bosses, and collecting the necessary resources, you will be able to unlock The Vile Alchemist's Workshop, which grants access to crafting high-tier poison and POE2 Currency for sale chaos potions, along with specialized gear.
